Happy Thanksgiving from your friends at PWC!

Happy Thanksgiving from all of us at Piedmont Wildlife Center! Gratitude is one of our core values at PWC. Every day, our team begins each meeting by sharing something we're grateful for. Today, we wanted to share our gratitude practice with you! Watch the video above to see what our staff and board members are thankful for on this day of family, food, and friendship.

Another thing we’re grateful for? YOU! Over the past year, your support made it possible for us to:

  • Teach more than 5,232 people about native NC wildlife at 324 school programs, 250 outreach events, 74 field trips, and 48 birthday parties

  • Provide 12 classrooms at Title 1 schools with educational wildlife programs at no cost to them

  • Spend 13,438 contact hours helping 2,087 campers connect with nature at 82 sessions of our award-winning camps in Durham, Orange County, and Wake County

  • Help 253 homeschool students build lifelong friendships and connect with their wild side at our Homeschool in the Wild program

  • Award $3,827 in camp scholarship funds to 16 kids and teens in need

  • Welcome 6 new Ambassador Animals: Arlo the eastern screech owl, Juniper and Tony the great-horned owls, Maple the red-shouldered hawk, Garnet the corn snake, and Wink the red-tailed hawk

  • Celebrate 20 years of nature connection at Piedmont Wildlife Center… and counting!

From all of us at Piedmont Wildlife Center, thank you for your continued support. It takes a village to inspire the next generation of nature lovers and empower people of all ages to protect wildlife. Luckily, we have the very best village out there - because YOU are part of it!

With gratitude,

Your friends at Piedmont Wildlife Center
